Blue Mountain Western Restaurant is just right above the Mcdonald's in Gongbei. It has a very good location. Why not drop by and try our tasteful dishes~~
Wanted to try it today(Saturday) but it was totally empty at almost noon and the banner in English at the front of the door, welllll....didn't help that most of the dishes had the word "fumigation" on it. Fumigation beef anyone? I can't comment on quality of food or the ambience as we decided to go elsewhere.

Food is very good, i am eating there almoust every day, not long time - 10 month only, and don't have any complain.

We had to visit this restaurant having read about the “Fumigation” steak just one of a long list of typos’ and miss-spellings in the comprehensive menu that includes European and Asian choices. Friendly staff some with working English is situated on the third floor over McDonalds and KFC. We sampled African chicken, a large boneless flattened fried chicken breast smothered in a tomato paste and few crinkle cut fries. Why do these places serve fries from a frozen wholesale catering bag? Go downstairs and bring in some KFC or Mac Fries they are so much better. It’s not that hard to make potato wedges with a piquant dusting of pepper and spices cooked in the oven if you can’t fry French Fries. Back to the chicken, lot’s of it however the tomato paste could have had more flavor but it was OK and my partner sampled an oven baked fish which was unpretentious and unimaginative. The local Muscat for 98 rmb helped it all go down quite well and when we came to pay they didn’t recognize our Expat VIP card.
We have been back again and this time the fried rice noodles with shrimp and Nasi Goring (Indonesian fried rice) proved very good as was the Great Wall red for 108 rmb. This time as we were now “regulars” they gave us their VIP card and we have 10% off whenever we go back. This is a restaurant that offers good ambiance kind staff “filling” food for a fair price. I will try the fumigation steak and write again.
If I may say, this restaurant is not one of our VIP partners, and this is why they did not recognize the Expat9 VIP card.
