To Petition or not

I for one am sick and tired of getting into the LANE FOR FOREIGNERS at the GongBei crossing and having to wait forever to get accross because the line is full of Chinese!
Anyone have Ideas? Can we start an on-line petition to hand to the powers that be?
A year or so ago a Gweilo could go into any lane on the right side of the building even though there were still two lines designated for foreigners you could line up in any of them and go through unmolested. However about a year ago they started to enforce the use of the foreigners lanes for foreigners even though they don't enforce the keeping of the Chinese out of these lanes.
You also might notice that the foreigners lanes seem to be the ones designated for Taiwanese. But I thought Taiwan was part of China right?? So, why put them into a foreigners lane?
And NO I know that I am not speaking of those Singaporean Chinese or Malay Chinese. I mean the ones carrying Chinese passports and Passes. It seems that those little blue pass books carried by MAINLAND CHINESE is a pass to the foreigners lane at immigration.
Either way I just want to reclaim the LANE FOR FOREIGNERS for foreigners use only.
Forgive me for blowing off steam but what do you all think? Petition??

At U.S. customs, foreigners
At U.S. customs, foreigners (to the U.S.) have to wait forever to get accross because the officers are too picky! Petition??
At U.S. customs, I doubt
At U.S. customs, I doubt there are any U.S. citizens lined up in the foreigners lane. If there were, it would take even longer for visitors to get across. I totally agree with bobc. Whenever I see people with Chinese passports in the foreigners lane, I always tell them to get out. I suggest everyone here to do the same. I usually say something like this.
这里是外国人的通道. 你是外国人吗? 中国人去那边排队.
Zhèlǐ shì wàiguórén de tōngdào. nǐ shì wàiguórén ma? Zhōngguórén qù nàbiān páiduì.
For months, officers at the
For months, officers at the GongBei border have been turning back locals that are in the wrong line. Yes, it is a pain, I agreed. Isn't that always with any border crossing in the world.
As for "这里是外国人的通道. 你是外国人吗? 中国人去那边排队." That remind me of,once upon a time in Guangzhou 沙面,the sign "中国人与狗,不得内进". Please lets not turn back the clock. As for petitioning, anyone that gets it going, you will have three signatures from my family.
So sweet petition... I was
So sweet petition...
I was on that.
It happened to me.., One day, myself and my wife, (chinese) crossed the gate from Macau to Zhuhai, i asked her to talk with Main officer in a nice way, that Taiwanese on forigner lines, are not forigners in China.... (I guess)...Why they allowed the Taiwanese pass in Forigeners Line?...
You know waht has happened...?
They change the *LOGO* from,(Forigners Only, seems to be)....to.... Forigners and Chinese....
They have the knife and the cheese, they can cut the way they want...
This is also nice if you see other lines, like Macao resident lines... Well I am Macao Resident but I can't go on thouse lines... You know why..?
I am Macao resident Special Administrative Region of China, but i am forigner in China when i cross the gate to Zhuhai...
So sweet...Isn't it?
What does the travel
What does the travel document that people from Taiwan use, have on it - ROC?. If it doesn't say PRC then they are foreigners as far as immigration goes.
nowadays the foreigners'
nowadays the foreigners' lane on the zhuhai side is for foreigners only - may include taiwanese. has been so since november.
Yes at least now after I
Yes at least now after I have complained many times I do see Chinese getting turned away from the foreigner lane. EXCEPT later in the evening. If I am coming home from work after 11:00 pm you can be sure if there is anyone in that lane then it will be full. All Chinese. When it rains it pours. If the other lanes are slow and the officers think they are only going to inconvenience a handfull of gweilos then they open it to Chinese.
Same goes for morning crossings to Macao.
