Does anyone know the rules concerning those ugly metal safety bars that are apparently required on windows of new apartments? I am not talking about the exterior ones.

Outside ones are supposed to be illegal...

Havent heard of the inside ones, nor seen any, but the security ones on the outside should be mandatory given the amount of theft that happens. Some dont look well designed but the goods ones have provision of a fire exit if it is required
My flat is top building 25th
My flat is top building 25th floor and since i saw one guy installing a 3 horse power Air Conditioned from the top outside of the building with one single rope and two ropes for the machine, i decide to instal Inside metal bars.
Of course i hate it, but i can cover it with a nice curtain.
This is only for safety reason due to my time there, only at weekends.

I lived above the plane at Jida and the Apartment had metal ones inside. Was a bit imposing...a bit like being in jail.
