Zhuhai VIP Venues |
you mean South China Morning
you mean South China Morning Post, right ? to be delivered to Zhuhai ?
i was also interested in this and had a look into this.
as it turned out all mainland sales are handled by china national pubication company, and the price for mainland is double compared to HK price in web !! there are taxes etc...i never got answer to my question whether this mainland price is for anywhere in china, i suppose so, no special pricing for zhuhai..
delivery time would be around noon or so.
prices i got are monthly 405.80 RMB (web for HK 214), quarterly 1217.50, ½ year 2435 (1188) and annual 4870 RMB(web 2068). so, it's getting pretty expensive, i never placed an order.
numbers to call are
tel 0756-8602612 (i don't know if english is spoken or not)
fax 0756-8602613
cnpicczh@pub.zhuhai.gd.cn

hope this helps :)
Last time I called to get my
Last time I called to get my subscription, they didn't speak english. You probably need to get someone to help you. Yes, it's pricey but worth it, in my opinion. So far, they have not failed us(only once but the paper came the next day), delivery to our place in Jida is by about 11.30 am sometimes later if it rains etc.
Thanks for the info. Yes,
Thanks for the info.
Yes, that's over $50 US a month. For that price I think I will stick to news on the web. But I sure do miss a morning paper with my breakfast......
They sell it at the ferry
They sell it at the ferry port in Shekou for RMB15 which I think is a little steep but as you say there is something about being able to pick up a paper that the web cant bring.
You can get the Shenzhen daily online as well www.sznews.com It is an English language paper and better than what you would probably expect.
Good thought. Anyone know
Good thought. Anyone know if they sell the South China Morning Post at Jiuzhougang? I would even be happy if it is a day late.
You can get foreign
You can get foreign newspaper from the lobby of Guangdong Hotel in Gongbei area. You can place the order with the lady.(maybe they can send it to your home).
That's another good thought.
That's another good thought. I live closer to the Holiday Inn and Harbour View hotels than I do the port. And a walk every morning would do me good.
thanks dong_bei. will try
thanks dong_bei. will try that.

"but those interested in daily life in china can get a lot out of china daily too."
Yep..."a lot" of full-on crap.
Sorry for my bluntness...haven't had my coffee yet. :(
