Mainland Person Allowed to Move to Zhuhai?

Tags:

Hi, I hope there are some immigration experts here! I have read this board for over a year and found many useful threads here.

I have a friend, who lives in Xinjiang province, the city of Urumqi. It is called "Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region". Can she move to Zhuhai to live, or are there restrictions on who can move to Zhuhai?

I want her to move to Macau, but as a blue card holder I can not sponsor a visa for her unless we are married. She can only get a 7 day tourist visa to Macau right now.

If she can move to Zhuhai, I can rent a flat and I can work in Macau, and travel back to Zhuhai each night. I have a multi-entry 1 year China visa.

Are there any English speaking immigration consultant, lawyers in Zhuhai that I could hire to help me understand all the rules and regulations on this topic?

Thanks for any help!!

Wherever she is staying in Zhuhai, all she need is a temporary resident's permit, very easy to apply for, and usually good for six months, or a year? Don't remember!!

All,

Thanks so much for your replies. We are feeling less stress now. We have been asking around and no one had any clear answers.

Now I just have to figure out if I can live in Zhuhai on a tourist visa!

Thanks again, Okie

Okie.... step by step. Of

Okie.... step by step.
Of course she can move to Zhuhai. For safety ask her to apply permission to enter ZH special economic region of RPC. She can apply it and it is easy in her home residence.
I would like to tell you that it will better buy a house in Zh then to rent, at least one flat no less than 75 square meters to get the right. Why?... this allowed her to get Zh resident card. Without ZH resident book she can not marry there, you have to go to her home town to get marry, if it is the case (intention). Don't forget to invite me. By the way, after married she can have permisson for multi-entry Macau Visa and renew every 3 months.
Yep, you with a Blue card, can not sponsor the lady, like me. I am Macau resident i do have "cota" and I can sponsor anyone, except main land China citizens.
As i know there are two ways for her to live in Macau. I will tell you my situation. I am sorry, but i don't know the rules in your Country. As a Portuguese, Macau resident we do have two options. One is after 3 years of married my wife can apply for Portuguese Passport and use it to live in Macau and 7 years later she can be Macau resident. The other way is to be On Line in China to move to Macau wich takes 5 years and she will loss all China documents. I am sorry i am not going to tell you wich one we follow. Of course she can work in Macau in the meantime, there are several agencies that may can help you on that. If she is a teacher it will be more easy but the process is a little expensive and takes few months after a promised job. Need Beijing permission.
Hope it helps.

Okie, We just heard from a

Okie,
We just heard from a Chinese friend that since last September, she cannot purchase a house to receive a ZH resident card. Evidently the law changed last September to cool down the housing market. FYI you cannot do this legally either on an "L" visa. Laws are changing frequently and constantly in this area, so things may change almost daily. Please e-mail me directly and I can share our story with you. Perhaps it will help. Best way to proceed is to ask as many people as possible, then be prepared for a different story when you actually try to do it.

All, Thanks again for all

All,

Thanks again for all the help. Well the best idea we have heard so far is to find some way to get my friend her own blue card from an employer. If there is some agency that we can hire to assist us in this, we would be willing to spend the money, rather then me try to cross the border every day 2 times, and keep up rent on a Macau and Zhuhai flat. As I need a Macau address for my Macau blue card.

I am also applying for Macau temporary residency under the IPIM prefessional scheme in Macau. If I get that card, and we get married, I would guess I could spnsor her to live in Macau as my spouse? But, I am not sure the rules.
