When I was in Organic Farming, one thing we looked at is the natural environment. Pesticides and chemicals may get rid of the unwanted, but at the same time killing off the birds and the bees ... Recent fears such as bird flu, sars and dengue fever etc. have forced the local authorities to spray a lot of who knows what. Now, if you still wondered where the birds are??! Just hope that when you wake up one morning, the question is not going to be where are the people!!

they an't gonna aim them and shoot down all the birds...ct ppl dn't do that...kind of scary anyway, (@_@)...
but some place in XiangZhou do offer wild animals (snakes, birds, cats,turtos)...and these kind of restaurant always pack of ppl...so i guess that is the place u mean?
As in zhuhai, we still can find birds around...the place is still not YET bad polluted.

A plan introduced here was to interfere with the migratory routes of certain bird species by the use of ultrasonics. It could have bad consequences but if the government did'nt do anything then the "west" would accuse china of not doing enough to combat bird flu.

If you were a bird, who migrates (has a choice) to lovely lakes and forests, would you stay here long to breathe the fresh air ?

I have ssen lots of birds when I have gone over to PingSha. Two weeks ago I saw a thrush, a blackbird, some sort of finch, the usual sparrows and what is either an eagle or a hawk (I would expect eagle).

Been coming to Zhuhai since 2002. There have never been many birds. I remenber once in the park in Xiang Zhou, a man offered some nice small birds, I think as a food item. He was carrying them by a string attached to their feet. I was encouraged last year to see three largish white birds (I think egrets) nesting off the end of the Xiang Zhou pier. Are they still there? I also saw some small birds in the garden of my apartment building. But with all the fishing boats and all of the fishy garbage they disgorge, I have always wondered wher are the seabirds. Have you ever been anywhere where there was even just a little fishing going on that did not attract sea birds?

as Contonese ,i can tell u the turth is if this thing ,no matter what, as long as can be eaten ,and good for us , expecially , we know this is helpful for some diseases and good for health ,we will eat it .

Yes what a great idea eat all the animals because there might be remote chance they help combat disease ????? Like rare tiger parts and the like. This will help preserve your country's wildlife for future generations.............. shame they don't bite back.
