B&Q Not living up to their end

B&Q only gave me a 2% discount, not 3% as advertised herein. They were quite adamant all the way up to the manager. I was pretty angry as I am getting tired of getting cheated by the locals.......

and more than a principle: I have signed an agreement with B&Q... they are getting a free ad in exchange of the discount they are supposed to give... so it's quite bad they don't respect it.

In spite of Mr Lee's apology

In spite of Mr Lee's apology about having old information in his advertisement, a week later it still says 3%. Not that 3% is worth the cost of bus fare.

I also have bought and paid for a chair and BBQ that has yet to be delivered 2 weeks later. It is now scheduled for 3/10. We shall see.

There are many alternatives around.....stay away from this place.

I have used B&Q frequently. I have never used the Expat9 VIP Card... even a 3% (2 % for you?) discount what's the incentive? nothing! no point at all!

At such minimal rates a discount is pointless and non-promotional.

I'm sorry you had such a bad time of it. But I think your expectation exceeded the level of discount on offer. B&Q does not offer convenience. It does not offer unique and diverse products. It's a wannabe. A pretend IKEA. And a shallow failure even at that.

My issue was not with the 3% discount because, you are right, it is peanuts. My expectation however, is that people will live up to their commitments and not try to screw me just because I am not Chinese. The advertisement says 3%, I expect 3%. In fact, it still says 3%, 2 weeks after B&Q apologized for not updating their advertisement.

Yes, sorry about that... I thought I could get B&Q to change their mind and still offer a 3 % discount. Tomorrow is their deadline...

They are supposed to deliver

They are supposed to deliver my goods today (2nd reschedule, so far). If they miss their commit again I will go get my money back (or at least try). :)
