Zhuhai to airport hotel

I booked the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong near the airport for the night before my flight. Check-in time is two p.m. It ain't cheap ($150 U.S. for me and Isaac- he will like the swimming pool!) but it started looking good when I saw cheaper hotels that advertised a shuttle to the airport for the surcharge of 250 HK per person. Anyway again non-refundable. So can I get on the airport ferry in Zhuhai, with a reservation for this hotel near the airport for that night and plane tickets for the next day?

If you sail into HK airport (skypier), you have to depart on that same day. Think of the ferry service there as a transit system.

ok so given that what is the most efficient way for me to get to that hotel from zhuhai? I don't want to get on the subway with child and suitcases if I can help it
