Dryer: Ha ha ha... I think wrinkle-free machines are the norm, but I don't think that has anything to do with clothes. You can buy dryers in the Taifeng electrical goods stores. There's one in Gongbei, 2 blocks south of McDonald's; and one in Jida in the Hita Plaza complex. For wrinkle-free clothes do not try to dry too many clothes at once and don't let them cool down, whilst at rest, in the dryer.

USD: Dunno. Today it's trading at 100.00 USD = 718.60 CNY
Q: Has the Chinese govt. deregulated the RMB (CNY) and linked it to market forces?

Along Gangchang Lu in the Xiawan part of Gongbei, where the lightrail is being constructed, I paced the bumpy sidewalk 35-36 steps between each stanchion. At my 6-foot height, each step is about a yard, or three feet. That would make a distance of about 3x35, and if that equals 50, then Expat9.com needs a new math question.

The last I knew, the bridge construction was in the finance stage, like in beginning a business -- which party pays for how much.
