Valentine's Day, A Dinner Menu

Many times here in China on the occasion of Valentine's Day, eating out has been a phenomenal culinary disaster, but not tonight.

Tonight, I and my wife (and son) had a wonderful dining experience at Jewel of India. Thanks Bipin and staff.

There was no 'special' menu for this evening, but I spent a bit of time tracking down web-based menu recommendations so that we could have a smooth and comfortably planned meal.

I settled on the following menu, for a romantic family dinner:
Starter:
Vegetable Samosa

Mutton Sheekh Kabab

Main:
Dal Makhani, Naan and Rice Plain

Butter Chicken

Lamb Rogan Josh

Chicken Saagwala

Rice Pulav

Drinks:
Beer

Shiraz

I must say, tonight's meal was the best experience I had at Jewel of India, the food was wonderful and filling, the service excellent and the ambiance, well I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Did you do anything special in Zhuahi for a Valentine's Day Meal? If so, where did you go? What did you have and was it worth the effort?

We stayed home, I cooked

We stayed home, I cooked pasta with boulinaisse sauce. Had a bottle of Bourdeaux from The Cellar. Lit a candle to add to the ambience (ok, it was really to heat up the place).

I seriously thought about going to The Jewel, but my gf doesn't like Indian food all that much. She barely tolerates my pasta for that matter, but she is too polite to tell me the truth.
