Well, it appears that the Great Firewall has struck again. I was surfing around youtube this morning looking for some clips about the CNY weather/travel disaster to send to a friend in the states. I found these two, and had no trouble accessing them. I also found several related clips from NTDTV; one of which was titled “China Travel Stampede Kills”. When I tried to open it, or any of the others from NTDTV, the server immediately shut down and blew me completely out of youtube. It appears that the folks at the Great Firewall are bound and determined to prevent the unfiltered truth from getting out to its own population.

I know for some this sort of stuff is really riviting material, but... yeah?
I was in a stampede once, on the Da Ning He (Little Three Gorges) and spent the next ten weeks receiving medical treatment for injuries received.
I know this stuff happens, it's topical at the time, but it is not ALL the time like this.
Now, without making excuses or apologies or hugging pandas or whatever, I find myself back where I began, with an unvoiced, "So what" and the same question, "Why" [as in why now]
btw if your having trouble with servers shutting down try to use the same link from 'reputable' webpages like, anonymouse.org. Cheers.

If you want to check if a site is being blocked go and you have Windows XP go to run and type tracert then your website name. If the run ends at 202.97.?????? then it is the great firewall. I have often found that I was wrong on what was preventing me getting to some sites by the way.
It's a shame that while
It's a shame that while everyone was waiting in-line, there was no-one handing out 'Common Sense and Logic 101' leaflets to all assembled.
My dad made most of his career in crowd control as a Police Officer in London, so I know it's no mean task to manage, but still...
