English Internet Software for Mac

Hi all,
Well by some miracle I am writing to you all today on my PC. It has died and come back to life many times recently but I fear it is coming to an end soon.
So, I went out and bought a Mac. A Macbook & an I-Mac for home. Trouble is that I can not get the software for logging onto the internet to load onto it.

I have a disc form when we first got on-line here in ZH. It is China Telecom software on CD. I can insert it onto the I-Mac but the Auto run feature won't run and I can not force it. When I do it just says no and sticks it's tongue out at me (so to speak anyway)!
Any ideas?
My wife had gotten this software for us originally and she is out of town and can not tell me where to go.
Anyone else more helpful??

What are the alternatives for internet access in ZH? Is China Telecom the only option?
