China story on MSNBC

With the exception of the bars that were mentioned in the story, they could very easily been writing about Gongbei. Does anyone remember the events of the evening of September 16, 2003 in Gongbei and Jida? It made international news. Within 1 week of that night, several quite famous hotels in those districts were suddenly “closed for renovations”.

I especially loved the last paragraph on page two of the story. It sort of sums things up. ;=D

My Hong Kong friends

My Hong Kong friends continue to gripe about that infamous day. They claim that "Zhuhai isn't any fun anymore!" ;) I never have understood how married Hong Kong guys get away with the things that they do...

Believe me, I learned a long

Believe me, I learned a long tima ago that HK guys get away with most whatever they want. All it takes is $$$. They send "wife one" of to the HK shopping malls with a loaded credit card while they come to ZH to chase "wife number two" around the suite at the Yindo for a couple of days.

The sexual revolution . . .

The sexual revolution . . . something lost and something gained. We lost our innocence, but did we gain our freedom? Do you remember when bras' were tossed and love was "free"? Sex should be natural, and yet, " . . . something touched me deep inside, the day the music died."

I can forgive the Japanese

I can forgive the Japanese for Pearl Harbor, but never Zhuhai!

Because that event reminded

Because that event reminded us of the national humiliation day(September 18th Incident 1937).The "September 18 Incident" is a long premeditated invasion of China staged by Japanese Imperialist forces, a prelude of the occupation of the northeast China and a provocation of an all-round aggressive war against China.it was a great shame and pain for chinese...unfortunately...this event happended on the same time as the "September 18th Incident".....

Fairly speaking,I was born in 80's, so actually...I have no direct feeling or reason to hate or forgive japanese for the "September 18th Incident"...but...for zhuhai event...as a chinese....it is really a big shame to talk about that!
Damn...I am not a nationalist...but As Orlog said...never forgive the event in zhuhai
