Hi Guys
I just want some feedback regarding that community. I heard both positive and negatives. I just want to confirm the negatives. The worst being it smell because of the factory near by.

And the walls and floors
And the walls and floors are cracking. Read my post last year.
Thanks bluemoon. Just
Thanks bluemoon. Just wandering how bad is the smell and is it toxic?
Better question is "would you live there?"
When I initially moved to
When I initially moved to Horizon Cove 3 yrs ago, I lived on the front facing the highway...there was often a smell from the factory. I lived in the newest section. After that I moved to the oldest section near the back gate. It proved to be a bad move because it became very noisy and there were constant problems with the water system (i.e. water main pipes burst or were malfunctioning). There was also a problem with mold and the smell of mold in this section. Many of my friends also moved out of this section recently. I can honestly say that now I live in a quiet and comfortable section and the building is very well constructed. I have central heating and a.c. and am thankful that last winter was my last time to be miserable inside the house.
Finding the right building in the right section is key to a successful rental experience here. I would advise you to look in several areas and even visit at night and different times of the day so that you can get a feel for the atmosphere of your selections. It really is a dice game and while there are problems here that are all too atypical of China, there are also a lot of positives...doing your homework is key to whether you hit the jackpot or not. You also have to know up front what your owner is all about because some are just not business savvy and are con artists, to say the least.
If there's a specific section or a specific question you need info on, you're welcome to email me and if I can help you further, I will.
Best wishes!
The ones with the a lake or
The ones with the a lake or stream view, this that the old or the new section. I visit there couple of time, there were no noise or smell. Of course it was only like 30 minute stay. I like the security there as well as the environment.
How is the sound proving? Do you often hear your neighbors? How much does two bedroom rent for?
Thanks
Apts that face the lake are
Apts that face the lake are in the newest section and are generally quite quiet and as you stated there is no smell. You may encounter a larger infestation of mosquitoes there, however.....the price ranges for a 2 bedroom vary from anywhere from 1800 - 2500 depending on the apt size, location and the owners. You can usually bargain and get close to the price you want to pay. A lot of these buildings are minimally occupied and you should consider how highly occupied a building is before selection; if noise from neighbors is a large concern for you. That is why I suggested visiting at different times to not only get a feel for the noise but to see if there are night lights that may also be a nuisance for you at night.
My new apartment is a townhouse and although I have neighbors, I rarely hear them. They are quiet and since there is no one living above or below me, I don't get the scraping furniture noise as before or the hawking sounds from neighbors NOR the constant chatter from the people in the street.
Good luck and patiently check each place you visit.
Thanks are you living there?
