Poor newbies, everytime they ask a question, the oldies argue among themselves... it is quite funny :)
Tempted, we are not hiding, but really there are not so many foreigners in Zhuhai.
Some parties are coming up: check the black and white party in the event, have a look at Dynamics Pizza and Ryan's Bar ( A to Z section). In gongbei many foreigners go to the Bar street ( cohiba bar, red bar and MTC are the favourites)

Bus system is not that hard to grasp... I hope one day to have the time to display all the info here in English, but damn, this really should be the gov's job, not mine.
Sports: guys play soccer every sunday: check the FISC under associations.
Haven't heard of volley ball, although we used to play down at the jida beach... if enough people want to join, we could ask the boss if he would be willing to put the net back on.

Finally a few of us are going to the wine and cheese party in Macau this coming weekend: just ckick on the big flyer on the homepage... 100 RMB is cheap for waht you get and this is usually a good party!

there's a few different zhuhai maps at the bookstore. one of them has some english and all of the bus routes.

i don't know anything about the schedule itself...ummm wait around until one gets there!

hey, fellow Canuck, how's it hanging? I have been here for 2 months now and it's great to meet someone from the homeland. I'm a bluenoser from Nova Scotia. Where do you hale from? I think if your looking to meet some girls then your best bet is to hit the discos. Chinese girls love them. There is a very popular one in Gongbei called Tomorrow. I live in Xiangzhou and Ryans bar is a 5 minute walk from Here. He's another crazy Canuck from thunderbay. Let's hook up and chuck back a couple of ales and talk about the homeland sometime.

Oh I forgot to mention that there is a brand new gym just opened in Xiangzhou. It is only about a 10 minute bus ride from Jida and I am a member there. Not sure if you know where Justco is but it is on the 5th floor of the justco building. I know that you can get a 6 month membership there. I have checked out all the gyms here and this is the best one by far.

does this gym have a website? if not, would you tell the adress, opening time, prices? i live in Tangjia, so Xiangzhou is pretty good for me.
*edit* sorry, but now i see: "Jusco building"! I'm going tomorrow to Xiangzhou so I can stop by.

well.. i hail from Ottawa, but lived in Nova Scotia for 7 years... so i kind of consider myself a maritimer now. Bluenoser eh... i could go for a schooner about now.

yeah, too bad we couldn't order some. Ryan's has some good foreign beer and he even has captain morgan rum...... About the gym, its on the 5th floor above Jusco and they told me that the grand opening is this weekend. I joined about a month ago when they were having a promotion and only paid about 1200RMB for a full year. I'm not sure what the regular membership is but I am hoping to swing a deal with the owner. To give all foreigners a discount in return I will promote the gym on this site......... Oh where did you live in N.S.

lived in wolfville when i went to school... then hali for another 3 years after..

An Acadian boy hey. I think you must have some good memories from wolfville. I know it is a good University and people are close there because of it's small size.......Did you get a chance to check out the gym. I went there yesterday and they told me that it will be open on Dec 1st. It's really going to be a top rated gym just like Nubodys back home. Hope that you will join so I can have a workout buddy. I live with my gf right next to it so it is very convenient for me.
