Artist of the Month - c88p

It's my pleasure to direct your attention to the c88p (creative88photo.com) Artist of the Month for June, TSC "Doc" Tempest. I think it's safe to say that all or most of the folks here on E9 have known or know of Doc. He and his family were in Zhuhai up until a couple months ago and are now in a transient phase in Germany until they get sorted out in North Vietnam.

Despite being busier than a one-armed paper-hanger, Doc agreed to put together some examples of his work for us and also gave the OK to place a link to his site on c88p.

On a side note before signing off, some of you know the connection between Doc, c88p (aka. Doug Gillespie) and LENZ. Late in 2007 and in the first part of '08, Doc and Doug began putting out the idea of starting up a camera club and with the help of a few more enthusiasts, kicked off with a couple of LENZ events, and this forum (thanks JJ and E9!).

It would be great to get another event or two or three going in the future and I want to make a call to all of you reading this to offer up some suggestions of places, themes, projects, causes... whatever! Let's brainstorm!

One final request... there have been many functions and benefits lately in support of Sichuan and I would like very much to compile a collection of photos that have captured this spirit in Zhuhai and the surrounding area. If you have gone to one (or more) of these functions and taken a few shots would you please forward them to events@creative88photo.com and include your name in the file name. If you could write a line or two about where the shot was taken and what it's about that would be wonderful. (Please keep the file size under 1MB)
