The first times we meet, my intuition tells that he ro she will never get close to my heart, whereas, sometimes I feel that there will be something between us though still new to each other.

Generally I am attracted to Taurus , Virgo and Cancer. how about yours, dear friends?

People are attracted to people for many reasons. In the first instance it is normally by looks. Then once looks do the job you get closer to see if you have compatible personalities.
Star signs and the like have absolutely no bearing on it what so ever. To say you are attracted to Scorpios or Libras or whatever is all well and good but if you really think about it you can not take it seriously. I mean on any given day how many persons of either sex are born? Around 100,000. In a month? 2 or 3 million. Each star sign covers about a one month period.
So, are you going to tell me that every man born under the sign of Capricorn is going to have the same personality type? Are there only 12 personality types in the world? There are many many more than that.
There are nice people and complete jerks both born under the same star sign everyday. You don't marry a sign, you marry a person.

My advice? Forget star signs. Go out and meet a nice person and forget about the sign he/she was born under. It is irrelevent.

Hey, bobc, what you said above is reasonable, anyway, each individual is uqiue and there is nobody else exactly like you since the universe came into being.

At the beginning I took it as superstition when a friend talked about star signs, well, gradually I find out it is kind of true to some degree.

Anyway Cambridge offers a PHD degree about astrology, it might have a scentific basis, more or less.

I went to Cambridge University Web-site for Grad students and there is no such degree program that I could find.

There IS a program for Astronomy but not Astrology.

Anyway, I am not trying to give you a hard time. I just think you should not limit yourself in your search for love to a group of people predicated by superstition.

There are plenty of people out there who are both nice and twits from every sign.

Curious though, you only mentioned western star signs in your post. Chinese signs probably have a history as old as the western. You are Chinese do you pay attention to them as well? What if the two conflict? Which would you more likely believe?

It is fun to read about your signs and the like but all in fun.

Im one of the person who is intereted in Horoscopes ,but i don't believe it will affect the relationship of lovers .Im interested in it,because i found sth about SOME of BASIC personalities what Horoscopes said is very connected to my and my friends' signs .Im Capricorn .And the sign said " Capricorn is very ambitious ,stubborn,sensitive,sensible,strong" it's truth and it also said "and very studious,shy",but the truth is IM NOT

2. Oddly enough , while I was raised in a traditional Chinese family , I have hardly had interest in Chinese Astrology. At the thought of the Year of Rat, the Year of Pig...... how can it be convincing ?Do people born in the same year have the same feathers? But Western Astrology divides the year into 12 star signs, and each star sign falls into three categories as well, with ten days to each , more detailed.

I think horoscopes are only useful for entertainment purposes. You know, read today's horoscope, and then try to model your day around what was said, the best you can lol.

With that said, there HAS to be more than 12 types of people...that's almost as broad as categorizing people by blood groups.

you are right ,Mek .Horoscopes are only useful for entertainment purposes .And it is very interesting entertainment ,expecially when you read sth about ur sign and it is connected to ur personality.In fact, i don't think " Signs' day's notice " ever works either,because sometimes i read it and it said i would get some extra money that day , but the truth is i didn't get one cent extra at all . hahahah...

Its far more important that you have an emotional, or perhaps a physical attraction to the other party. Astrology, although it can be fun, is one of those, "Oh, by the way.." type of things, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships.
