Eggs to kill a brown dog

WITH millions of chocolate eggs being stashed before Sunday's traditional Easter egg hunts, Melbourne's leading vets have warned that a few stray eggs could kill Fido. Sarah Haldane, from the University of Melbourne Vet Clinic and Hospital warns that while the chemical found in chocolate, theobromine, triggers the release of the euphoric hormone, serotonin, in humans, in dogs it can lead to intoxication and poisoning. "Because of their indiscriminate eating habits, Easter is one of the times we see a lot of dogs with chocolate intoxication," Haldane says. The adverse reaction in canines kicks in six to 12 hours after consumption and can kill if left untreated.

Another good reason why pet

Another good reason why pet owners should be responsible, and not let Fido or Tabby run loose.

Thanks Doc
