Why can I not submit a photo?

I was unable to submit a photo this morning. When I click on the "submit" button, I get Eror 500 "Internal Server Error".

I just tried to submit again
I just tried to submit again a few minutes ago with the same result HTTP500 internal server error. When I do a refresh, it takes me pack to an unpopulated submit screen.

I have done some tests and everything seems to be working fine. Anybody else has faced similar problems?
One more question Orrin: was the photo a jpg?

I reduced the photo down to 433K and it worked. It must be the wind or sunspots or something like that :P Thanks for your help.

Ok, glad it could work... I guess when the server is a bit busy, it becomes more fussy ab out the quality of the pictures being submitted :)
