We are feeling blue.
The flame that burns twice
The flame that burns twice as bright, burns half as long...
Andrew; I can truly say that your flame was ultra bright and it will be a duller and less colorful world without you. It is so hard to believe that someone with so much life has now gone.
Our love and thoughts are with Yvonne and Zenon.

I cannot find words that express my shock and sadness to hear of Andrew's tragic passing. I send my thoughts and strength to Yvonne and Zenon, Andrew's lovely parents, family and friends. Although I didn't know him well his affection for life was a treat to witness, ever charming and welcoming he made me feel like I was a friend. An evening in China was more fun when Andrew was about.
There are few people in life that create such energy, a truly terrible loss.
To Andrew, upon my birthday eve I will think of you and smile hoping that you're having a birthday party somewhere.xx

All our family is shocked to hear about. I would like to express our deepest condolences to Yvone and to All Andrew's family which I can imagine must be devastated.
I had just met him and expected to see again those shining "Union Jack" cuff links he wore so proudly ... at a meeting with French people! I expected to hear again his nice English accent and laugh with him in cheerful happiness.
But now . I am just sad. Un joyau nous a quitté.

>> Raising our Glasses <<
>> Raising our Glasses <<
As requested by Jeremy (Andrews Dad)
We all back in europe, raised our glasses to celebrate Andrews live.
Me, Vivianne and our Son Alexander where in Zhuhai last year and had a good time together with Andrew, Yvonne, Zenon, Jeremy, Margaret and many of you.
This is also why I would like to share with the Zhuhai expats part of an email i send of to Family and Friends of Andrew.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know this is something he really would have appreciated. People raising there glass all around the world.
It took me back to the time where Andrew, Jeremy and me went around Oostende (Belgium) with the ashes of Don. (Andrews Grandfather and Jeremy’s Dad)
This was to celebrate Don’s live. Andrew had a very special connection with him.
Every time we had a small beer on top of the Urn which magically lowered in level!!
Hence, this is the spirit that Andrew appreciated and why I think raising our glasses is a nice symbolic way to celebrate our friend Andrew.
We also lifted our glasses to Zenon who is celebrating his birthday now.
I really hope this little man will be OK.

Dear Andrew, In the context
Dear Andrew,
In the context of time we had but a few brief meetings; each one was precious.
I know where you are now is full of joy because the place you left behind is much less interesting. My dear friend - I hope that your journey was smooth and that you are raising a glass or three wherever you are.
My heart felt feelings go out to all of your family.
What a beautiful difference one single life made!!!

I am shocked to find out
I am shocked to find out what happened, now almost a year ago. Andrew was my best friend here in Belgium 25 years ago. I lost track of him when he went to boarding school in the UK but have always kept good memories of our time here in Edegem. I stumbled on this blog because I wondered if I could find Andrew through the Internet after all these years. I was devastated when I saw this blog and Karen's letter elsewhere on the net.
Yvonne and Zenon, we have never met but I send you all my sympathy.
I have been trying to locate Jeremy, Margaret or Karen to send them our sympathy but have been unsuccesful so far. If anyone here knows their address, can you please send it to me as a PM?
