Li and Miao minorities village

Have you ever been to Sanya, a city on Hainan island? I won't lie, if I say that this is one of the most beautiful places in China. Do you remember the beginning of February? It was still cold here but that was the best time to visit the wonderful island. Of course, I spent most of my time swimming, sunbathing, scuba diving and enjoying fresh pineapple and coconuts. But what is a trip without some places of interest?
Sanya has a lot of attractive places, one of them is Li and Miao minorities village, which is located in mountains. These two indigenous tribes live in their own community, trying to sustain their culture, traditions. The purpose of the village is to give people an understanding of their life. You can see their houses, clothes, musical instruments, handicraft. At the entrance we put on their national costumes and imagined ourselves being inhabitants of that village. I tried archery, but failed to hit the mark. We saw a short performance given by local people: bamboo pole dance which was really energetic and exciting. Later we tried to dance with them, which I found to be quite difficult. Also there was a show, where a guy danced on hot coal and glass. Then we were offered some national food and rice wine, and betel nuts. Advice: Though it was interesting, 2 hours are more than enough. I made a mistake to let the taxidriver go and return in 4 hours :)
