I stopped into the "Deli" today for the first time. I was astounded! After looking over their wares, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. I left with a heavy bag full of "goodies", and a wallet that was some 297RMB lighter. Believe me, it was worth it. I plan on going back there later in the week.

"I can't get no respect.............. no respect at all!"
I answered my own question. I was in there earlier today. When I asked if they honored the VIP card, I got an emphatic "no". It doesn't matter to much because I will continue to patronize them. They have all of the stuff, and more, that one used to have to go to Macau or HK to get a few years ago. Only trouble is, I can't seem to walk through their door without leaving about 300RMB lighter in my wallet.

My question is: Have they set up purchasing with credit or bank cards yet? If not, when will they ever make this happen? It would be more convenient for most of us!
However, Union Pay is not part of the Cirrus or Maestro networks which underpin most foreigner's banking systems and international (credit/debit/atm) card usage. :-(

Went there recently and walked out RMB200 lighter, it would have been 400 if they honoured the VIP card. I was quite surpised they didn't with all the Expat 9 signs and photo's on display.
Half of the stuff they have can be found in Jusco (if you look hard - as I had done a few hours earlier), and cheaper too, so a discount would be nice.
