Good fresh simple honest and tasty food is the best way to think of Pinocchio’s Macau Portuguese style cooking. Our order began with crisp warm rolls and Anchor butter very much a treat and then we followed up with a salad of fresh chopped lettuce with ruby red ripe tomatoes and black olives all drizzled with a light olive oil and white vinegar. If that wasn’t enough to set the palate up then there was the aroma from the cut veal without bone in it’s aromatic gravy with a hint “star anise” which was simply so good. We also sampled the sardines and codfish cakes which were both excellent although for my taste I would have liked some Hellman’s tartar sauce to accompany the fish cakes. And for total indulgence to offset the fresh salad we enjoyed a large plate of French Fries, from a bag I suspect they were cooked perfectly to “McDonalds” specifications and tasted great. As an accompaniment we enjoyed a bottle of Portuguese Red wine for 140rmb which seemed to be a fair restaurant price. As my partner remarked the wine complemented the meal very well and at the end they accepted our Expat VIP card so we enjoyed the sweet 10% discount. Thank you Expat9. Definitely a place to go to again and next time we will try the roast chicken and pork ribs....yummy!

Your recommendation is good enough for me. My wife and I will be giving them a try soon.
