Went last night. The food is good, price is not bad. Pizza is around 75 and pasta is about the same. The pizza is Italian style, not the Pizza Hut pizza. I believe the pasta is hand made, completely different from the pasta you get from an American Italian restaurant. I also love the draft beer (Hoegaarden, 50 for a huge cup) Very good restaurant, especially in Zhuhai.
Enjoyed it all three times I have gone so far. If you are with a local, Mandarin is a plus. For those of you keeping track: CLEAN WESTERN BATHROOMS!!!
View is excellent, and loved the martinis and bellinis. Good salads with REAL CHEESEd --liked the "tomato caprese" and caesar salad. Main courses are good--ravioli and penne gorgonzola have been received well, and the tiramisu is very good. Pizza(s) is/are good too.
The "maitre d" is wonderful and makes it a fun experience... Treat yourself to this, a walk along Lover's Lane, and finish yourself off on Bar Street.

Went last Monday for lunch...closed. Went again today, Sunday for lunch....closed. Finally went tonight for Sunday dinner...alone. Hate to eat dinner alone in a proper restaurant. The food wasn't bad but no big deal. Both the lettuce in the Caesar Salad and the pasta in the Tagilatelle were flabby. Maybe it was the egg noodles but isn't pasta supposed to be al dente?
Also in proper Italian restaurants aren't they supposed to have antipasti, primi (pasti), secondi, (pesci, carni) etc.? All these guys basically had was some pizza and pasta. Maybe my menu was missing a few pages. It was like eating half an Italian dinner. Maybe this is supposed to be something like an Italian version of a US burger joint.
Maybe I was expecting too much but I wouldn't call this an Italian "restaurant". I haven't been to the Italian place in the Holiday Inn for a few years but I thought their menu was better rounded.
Anyway, the espresso was superb. As good as or better than anything in Hong Kong and certainly nothing in ZhuHai comes close. The service was good and the place was pleasant. A solid C in my book.
I was there twice.
- First time alone and unique client for a quick lunch. simone gave me a great show. Very friendly and attentive. the pasta with sea food was just delicious. so I told him that I was going to come back with my wife for her birthday on sat evening.
- second (and last)time, there was about 12 people inside and 4 outside and it looked like these guys never worked in a restaurant before ! they were overhelmed and Simone did not pay any attention to us. The food was heavy full of cheese I could not finish and my wife who is Chinese got sick all night. Myself I found difficult to digest this food. Finally we went out without asking our birthday cake. It seemed that Simone is more interessed in how much money you can spend then in how happy you are to be there (wich is quite normal for a business man, but not for a restaurant owner). I must specify that I was a professional for many years.
And as I don't drink coffee I cannot give any star to this hash house.
Unlucky but not all night; that same night we went to another place run by Chinese and every thing was perfect. Also they applied the VIP discount every day of the week. But anyway long life in ZH to those two Italians fellows..
yesterday i was there for dinner with my bosses. it was nice there. friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I felt like i was on holiday in italy.
seems i did total different experience than gdomi. they cared us a lot. even they did us the special favour to cut the fruit which we brought by ourselves and served it nicely decorated.
Sounds nice, I'd like to
