Tourist spend millions

SOME 450,000 visitors spent 270 million yuan (38.57 million) in Zhuhai during the May Day holiday, which was shortened from a week to three days this year. More than 140,000 overnight visitors and 750,000 visitors to tourist attractions were recorded, up 22.8 and 25.53 per cent respectively from the same period last year.
Hengqin Island, Guishan Seafood Gourmet Festival, Imperial Hot Springs and Ocean Spring Resort were most popular with visitors. The latter two had room occupancy of nearly 100 per cent. More than 15,000 tourists visited Wanshan, Dong’ao and Wailingding islands. In addition, Haibin, Jingshan and Bailiandong parks were preferred venues of residents.
Variety shows and events such as Royal Wedding at New Yuanming Palace, “2008 Year of Olympics -- Meixi Old Folk Games Contest” at Meixi Royal Stone Archways, Countdown of 100 Days from 2008 Beijing Olympics at Zhuhai Holiday Resort Hotel, and Macao Water Tour night service for fireworks in Macao drew numerous tourists in the holiday.
Nearly 30,000 visitors from the Chinese Mainland crossed the border to watch the Olympic torch relay in Macao on May 3. Over 95 per cent of the passengers made the crossing within 25 minutes, Gongbei Checkpoint reported.

Great for Zhuhai! I

Great for Zhuhai! I understand why people like to go there. Lots of attractions and things to do and of course the city is clean and beautiful. I am hoping to visit again very soon.
