Housing for needy

THE 2008-10 Zhuhai City Low-Income Households Housing Plan recently issued by the city government stipulates that 1,899 low-income units should be provided and 5,072 economic adaptive units built in the following three years to meet the housing needs of low-income families and the urban needy. Construction must commence this year and be finished in 2010.

Planned are 7,897 low-income urban households, with 2,484 in Xiangzhou District, 301 in Doumen District, 4,989 in Jinwan District and 123 in other areas. The low-income families include households of town census registration without housing or with per capita housing area below 10sqm and per capita monthly income below the minimum living standard of the area, with per capita monthly income between the minimum living standard and 150 per cent of the living standard, or with per capita monthly income between 150 and 250 per cent of the minimum living standard.
