Canton Fair ends

THE Zhuhai Business Delegation inked agreements worth $620 million during the 103rd China Import & Export Fair, also known as 2008 Canton Fair, which ended on Wednesday. Thirty-seven per cent of the products went to Europe, 31 per cent to Asia, 19 per cent to America and 14.5 per cent to the Middle East.
A total of 128 businesses, 111 more than before, took part in the fair at 478.5 booths, the largest ever. Exports in Phase II, including pottery and porcelain, suitcases and bags, furniture, baby carriages, wine sets and daily necessities accounted for 85 per cent of the total. Products such as leather-cased computer desks, mini music bars and champagne cabinets manufactured by Zhuhai Artisan Furniture Co Ltd, home art pottery by Joyye Arts & Crafts Co Ltd, wine set series by Quan Da Industry & Commerce Co and others were favoured by foreign dealers.
